Building Friendships & Confidence Through Social and Group Activities.

Social activities provide a focus on helping participants build and maintain friendships, social skills, and relationships, often in group or one-on-one settings.

Examples:

  • Attending a movie night or games night.

  • Going out with a support worker to a café.

  • Joining a hobby group (e.g. art, music, dance).

  • Joining some fun sports activities such as bowling, trampolining and rock climbing.

  • Participating in a board game night or disco.

  • Attending social skills program

Purpose:

To reduce isolation, increase confidence in social settings, and build friendships in a safe, supported environment.
